Energy is vital to all buildings. The Terteths have found a way to maximize the Energy accumulated from the infrared spectrum of light. That’s the Infrared transbot’s job. Its surface reflects almost all of the light, only the infrared waves penetrate it. With every level of upgrade the Transbot “learns” how to utilize other light spectra, this in-turn increases Energy production.

The Infrared transbot is good for gathering Energy for a smaller colony, but at a later stage the Transbot will not be enough. You will need a bigger source of Energy like the Uranium bot.
