Overmind
Information
The Overmind is more creature than it is Building. And what a creature it is, over 80 percent of its body mass is brain. The Overmind is probably the best philosopher to have ever existed in the universe, unfortunately in these times of galactic turmoil it deals only with research of new technologies to be used in the war effort. The Overmind is tended by a small group of workers that make sure it is well fed, healthy and is working on whatever the commander has ordered. Some buildings, ships and defense units can only be built after a certain science has been researched.
Each Planet can have 1 Overmind. With each level of upgrade the Overmind’s neural network is enhanced by placing small computers at key neural nodes. This makes research faster.
